FAQ

Questions before you begin.

ClearMind is designed for decisions that deserve a slower room. Here are the practical answers about how it works, what the AI does, and how your data is handled.

01

Using ClearMind

What is ClearMind?

+

ClearMind is an AI-powered thinking coach for important decisions. It guides you through structured mental frameworks, reflects your own reasoning back to you, and helps you save what you learned in a decision journal.

What kinds of decisions is it for?

+

Use ClearMind for decisions that benefit from slowing down: career moves, hiring, strategy, education, relocation, financial commitments, and other choices where bias, urgency, or uncertainty can distort your thinking.

How does a guided decision session work?

+

You answer three setup questions, then ClearMind identifies likely cognitive traps and recommends a framework. You work through four framework-specific prompts, receive a clarity summary, write a reflection, and save the session to your journal.

Does ClearMind make the decision for me?

+

No. ClearMind is a mirror, not an oracle. It provides structure, context, and careful prompts, but the judgment stays with you.

02

AI and frameworks

Which frameworks does ClearMind use?

+

ClearMind uses eight frameworks: Premortem Analysis, Second-Order Thinking, Inversion, Loss Aversion Reframe, Sunk Cost Release, Circle of Competence, the 10/10/10 Rule, and First Principles Thinking.

How does the AI choose a framework?

+

The triage step looks at the decision, what feels difficult, and what matters most. It then names likely thinking traps and recommends the framework that best fits the pattern it sees.

Can the AI be wrong?

+

Yes. AI output can be incomplete or unsuitable for your situation. ClearMind is designed to help you inspect your thinking, not to replace your judgment.

Is ClearMind professional advice?

+

No. ClearMind is not a replacement for professional advice. It is not legal, medical, financial, therapeutic, or other professional guidance.

03

Privacy and data

What data does ClearMind store?

+

ClearMind stores your account email, optional profile name, decision sessions, framework answers, clarity summaries, reflections, timestamps, and plan state so you can return to your decisions later.

Is my decision content used for analytics?

+

No. ClearMind does not use your decision content for analytics. PostHog is configured for pageview events only, with form content, session replay, and autocapture disabled.

Where does my decision text go during AI requests?

+

AI requests go through ClearMind server routes. Your decision text and framework answers are sent only as needed to run triage, walkthrough, and clarity operations.

Can I delete my data?

+

Self-service deletion is not yet built. For account deletion or removal of specific decision sessions, contact support@withclearmind.com.
