How ClearMind handles your data.
Last updated: May 22, 2026
ClearMind is an AI-powered thinking tool for working through decisions. We collect the information needed to run the service, keep your account secure, process subscriptions, and help you return to your past decision sessions.
01
Information We Collect
- Your email address as your account identifier.
- An optional name if it is provided through your profile or authentication provider.
- The decision text you enter and your answers to the three guided questions.
- Your framework walkthrough answers and the reflection text you save with each journal entry.
- Plan and subscription state, including whether your account is free or Pro and, when applicable, the date Pro access ends.
- Session metadata, including timestamps, the framework chosen, and whether a session was completed.
02
How We Use This Information
We use your decision content to run ClearMind's triage, walkthrough, and clarity features.
We use account information to authenticate you, protect your sessions, and show your journal and account status.
We use billing information to manage the Pro subscription.
We use operational metadata to keep the service reliable, debug production errors, and understand basic page-level usage.
03
What We Do Not Collect
- No decision content, walkthrough answers, or journal reflections are sent to analytics tools.
- No session recording or session replay.
- No keystroke or form-content capture in analytics.
- No advertising or marketing tracking.
- No third-party social embeds that profile users.
04
Cookies
ClearMind uses Supabase authentication cookies so you can stay signed in and access your account.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
PostHog is configured for pageview-only analytics. It does not capture decision content, form content, session replay, or keystrokes. PostHog uses a small persistent identifier in your browser's storage, cookie or localStorage depending on browser support, to deduplicate page views from the same anonymous visitor. This identifier does not include personal information.
Ahrefs analytics is used for page-level website and search visibility measurement. ClearMind does not intentionally send decision content, form content, session replay, or keystrokes to Ahrefs.
05
Third-Party Processors
Anthropic
Anthropic provides the Claude API used for AI triage, walkthrough, and clarity operations. Anthropic receives your decision text, framework answers, and reflection content through server-only calls from /api/chat using an operation enum and structured payload. Per Anthropic's commercial API terms, your decision content is not used to train their models.
Supabase
Supabase provides authentication and database services. Supabase stores account authentication data, including email and password authentication or Google OAuth identity data, plus decision sessions, journal entries, user profile information, and plan state. The Supabase project is hosted in US East, Northern Virginia.
Stripe
Stripe processes payments for ClearMind Pro subscriptions at $12 per month. Stripe receives payment and billing information needed to manage subscriptions. ClearMind is currently using Stripe test mode and will switch to live mode before public launch.
Vercel
Vercel hosts the application and serverless functions at withclearmind.com. Vercel sees normal HTTP request metadata, including URLs, headers, and IP addresses, as part of serving the site.
Sentry
Sentry receives error stack traces and request metadata from production exceptions. ClearMind is configured to strip URLs, including query strings, cookies, authorization headers, and request bodies before data is sent to Sentry. This was verified end-to-end on May 14, 2026.
PostHog
PostHog receives pageview events only. Autocapture, session recording, surveys, heatmaps, exception capture, and remote config are explicitly disabled in code. A before_send allowlist drops anything that is not a $pageview event. No decision text, framework answers, or reflection content is sent to PostHog by any code path. This was verified end-to-end on May 15, 2026.
Ahrefs
Ahrefs receives pageview and search analytics signals through its analytics script so ClearMind can verify site ownership and understand search visibility. No decision text, framework answers, journal reflections, account content, or billing data is intentionally sent to Ahrefs by ClearMind code.
Resend
Resend sends transactional authentication emails, including signup confirmation and password reset emails. These emails are sent from noreply@withclearmind.com. Resend was configured on May 15, 2026 as the production SMTP provider, replacing Supabase's rate-limited built-in SMTP.
06
